Bente Elisabeth Finseraas received her MA from Bergen National Academy
of the Arts, Norway. She prepares fibers with tulips, stinging
nettles, cotton and flax and has developed unique techniques to build
sculptures and paintings. Her works are built up from multiple thin layers of different fibers to give them an intense depth and structure. In 2002 Finseraas won 2nd prize in the 4th Triennale Internationale de Papier, Switzerland. In 2007 she received 2nd prize in the German Palm Art Award.
