Memory, Layers, and Points of View

    Otto Geberzahn

After sketching and painting since childhood, I used my creativity for a long time in architecture, design, and writing. My paintings nowadays show my view on the world as a vision of many layers and points of views. Things are not as clear as they seem. Our memory is a subjective process and that’s why history is not as objective as people think. That’s why I prefer to show a world of contingency and ambivalence. Everything can be different from the appearence of the moment. So I use layers of acrylic and breaks of the layers, sometimes randomized.
