Based on my memory and experience in Hong Kong, one of the biggest cities in the world, this series of work aims to represent a city that is formed by a “multi-culture” and the absence of text-based language in city life. While blank dialogue boxes were used to symbolize the neglect of local language, figures have had their brains removed and symbolize the visual and muscle memory of traversing a city that has become so deeply embedded in the urbanites thoughts that it determines their physical and emotional experience in the metropolis.
