In my final year as an undergraduate student of the arts, I had a professor with a great interest in Western contemporary art who specialized in Chinese antiqes. He often took me to exhibitions featuring both Chinese and contemporary Western art. Partly due to his influence, my style gradually evolved from a more traditional, realistic style to one that combined with my natural sensitivity towards color, have brought my paintings to their current state.

Somtimes I use real life compositions to paint, and sometimes what I paint is imaginary. When I paint outside in the open air, I like to use my imagination to fill in the gaps of reality. I like little animals, and I like flowers and plants; it is actually my wish to mix them together. Modern city life always lacks a certain kind of freshness- I want to express my desire for the beauty of nature through the simplicity in my paintings.
