My
art is a process like faith. As any “true believer,” I’m going through
stages of having my faith tested. I’m trying to learn more and more
about what it is I believe. Like my biblical namesake, I’m a doubter. As in those stages of testing I execute conceptual and intuitive
processes in layers in my drawings and sculptures. I do not want my
drawings to be conceptual or intuitive; I want my drawings to be
onceptual and intuitive because I am not one or the other. I am both.
