Split Film Festival is scheduled from September 13th to 20th. They have feature and shorts categories, among other specials, and a new media section. The purpose of the festival is to promote the new, radical, experimental and/or subversive work, both from the traditional director’s point of view and from the position of the visual artist (as more and more contemporary artists are looking for new ways of expression in the audio-visual media). Last year, 550 features, over 1000 shorts and 100 New Media projects were submitted.
