The Bruce High Quality Foundation: Ode to Joy, 2001–2013 is a retrospective of the Brooklyn-based group including painting, sculpture, text, photography, and video work.  The show will also incorporate documentation of the Bruce High Quality Foundation’s (BHQF) site-specific pieces.  Their humorous and provocative style mixes reality with fiction to rouse viewers to engage them in a critical dialogue on contemporary culture. BHQF strives to “invest the experience of public space with wonder, to resurrect art history from the bowels of despair, and to impregnate the institutions of art with the joy of man’s desiring.”
