I’ve always been a very autobiographical painter. Many of the
scenarios and images in my paintings have been metaphors for events in
my life such as molestation, self-mutilation, and incarceration on
psychiatric wards.I am influenced by psychology and literature, as well
as by my dreams. Recently I’ve been doing paintings exploring emotions
and ideas shared among women and among girls. All of these recent
paintings are love stories.
