In 2011, the massive earthquake in Japan had a significant influence in my life and also my artwork. The unstopping vibrations of the ground and the engulfing, dark ocean water were fear and shock in and of itself. Life in the blinding brilliance of the constant developing city seems almost like a desert mirage. Nature can, at any time, swallow what mankind has created. We, however, ignore this. Such emotions like anxiety, chaos, unrest and fear, started to slowly emerge in my work.
