SUGAR is an artwork in and of itself. It is not an attempt at any other entity, other than what it truly is…SUGAR, (found in a large variety of recipes… in my mixing bowl). Exhibiting two, sometimes three artists, I approach each exhibition as a work of art. By juxtaposing the artwork of one artist with another I create my own aesthetic, philosophies and theories, focusing on the idea of defining equilibrium or lack thereof. I imagine it being like an arranged marriage for the art works, and the artists involved. I am not interested in solo exhibitions, nor focusing on one certain medium. SUGAR is about exploring the nature of art and the artist.

The roots of SUGAR are grounded in installation art. In the mid nineties I began to explore this art form, coming from an architectural technology background I was more interested in space and environments. So I began to utilize both fake (non productive empty spaces) and real estate.
