I describe my recent paintings as being large maximalist color statements. The subtle textures that used to lie just below the surface of my paintings are now on the top in distinct juxtapositions of color and pattern. My references are multi-cultural, art historical and everyday. I mix and match freely, being inspired by literally everything. For me as an artist, it’s about making something beautiful. |
