Russ’ unique, whimsical style reflects his warmth and quirky sense of humor. The series of bird paintings he is currently creating are a graphical, colorful interpretation of many species influenced by actual birds, but mainly conjured up from his own imagination. The richness of the textures he creates through layers of paint add a fullness and depth to the work. Through his use of shadow and light, he loves to create a sense of volume in the forms. Russ’ goal with all of his work is simple: "I love to bring a smile into people’s lives when they see my work." Enjoy!
