Reese Inman’s paintings map the output of computer programs, exploring
contemporary experiences of information overload and our collective
attempts to make sense of the massive amounts of data we collect. Combining the hands-off exactitude of computer technology with the hands-on discipline of painting, the final work merges a sense of technological precision and order with the handmade quality and intense detail associated with traditional painting, implicitly questioning distinctions and/or distance between humans and human-produced technology.
