I work in clay, throwing bowls and hand making eggs and sculptures. I specialize in Raku firing because I enjoy the finishes I can achieve with the glazes. The unpredictable nature of the process is part of the excitement. The volatile swathes of color and texture lead me on into further and further experimentation. I particularly enjoy the different volcanic surfaces and the delicate iridescence that come out of the kiln using this technique. Shown is the artists work; “luster-egg”
