| When I came home one morning, I found my best friend and her boyfriend conversing in bed. He was asking her many detailed questions about my boyfriend’s cock, as he had just found out that there was a new photograph of it on my Web site that she had seen. He wanted to know the size and shape and where it pointed. As I tried to explain that it was a blurry, grainy, black-and-white photograph and that the people who come to my Web site looking for porn probably get very disappointed, I brought out my camera and took a few photographs of them together in bed. That is the way I take my best photographs, when there isn’t really a work process at all. When life just happens and I happen to have my camera with me. Photography is something very simple and natural to me, like a good friend whom I love being with and who allows me to experiment and constantly challenges me in my everyday life. |

I tend to spend more time and slightly more thought into the selection process. I find it highly fascinating how you can tell a completely different story with almost the same images just by changing their order or adding or subtracting a few. I just finished my first self-published book, called Lina Scheynius 01; it is a way of working that I find really suits me. It is the first in a series of affordable photographic books by me. I have made it small and light and cheap so that anyone can afford to buy it.
