When I’m photographing something I’m not looking for the meaning of life or some other hidden agenda. I photograph simply because the object in front of my lens begs to be photographed. It might be because of past memories, capturing a moment in time, recording a pleasant experience or just because it is visually stimulating. At this stage of my photographic career I choose not to be categorized. Although the subject matter is varied in my current work I give it a common thread by hand coloring. In using this process I am not trying to alter the image but simply give it a subtle realism. I am not trying to provoke or shock but just present a pleasant viewing experience.
