My work has always been about things in myself that I feel incredibly uncomfortable with and embarrassed by. I exploit what’s dangerous and scares me about myself. I collect; I hoard… I do weird shit. Right now I’m trying to paint a series of still lives of all my trinkets… including a jade dildo, this beautiful new pearl cock ring… and butterflies and kittens too of course.
Currently I’m getting my MFA in painting. I cannot tell you how much graduate school has changed my life. I’m slowly learning to be more comfortable in my own skin. Oh yeah, and in the near future I plan on creating a sanctuary in Vermont similar to Gustav Klimt’s studio, where models can just lounge, hang, and live, and I can paint them in their most natural states… so if any one is interested please let me know.
