Ola Öhlin’s working process is filled with drudgery, pain and permanent loss before the painting reaches through. He has to denounce the virtuoso and there is no mercy and no short cuts. In fortunate moments of inspiration the picture comes to him as if he owns magic brushes. Ola Öhlin stays in a picturesque room where ethereal lyrics confront dark dramatics. He is a romanticist, he wants to affect, find useful meetings, reach through, confirm and be confirmed.
