    Art Hamptons

ArtHamptons has a new home. This summer, to accommodate the event’s growing popularity, the fair moves to a larger and more suitable location, the Sculpture Fields of Nova’s Ark, just 1,000 yards from the 2011 site. It will be situated on an amazingly bucolic 97 acre nature preserve, featuring a dramatic Sculpture Park, serene pastures with grazing horses and sheep, and polo fields (with several games scheduled during the fair). Our new home at Nova’s Ark Project is located on Millstone Road off Scuttle Hole Road in Bridgehampton, a site well-known for many charity events including the ever popular Super Saturday fundraiser.

The theme for 2012 is the recognition of Jackson Pollock centennial birthday. The lobby will be designed with Jackson Pollock photos and memorabilia, and maybe even a painting or two. Mark your calendar for the much publicized Friday Night, 6-8pm, fundraiser for the Pollock-Krasner House and Study Center Pollock at 100- A Centennial Celebration. It’s destined to be one of the most memorable parties of the summer season and filled with surprise guests and performances. Stay tuned for details.

The Grand Palais brings together modern and contemporary art galleries-showing solo, group or thematic exhibitions-as well as the design sector, which FIAC was the first international fair to include beginning in 2004; and the Modern Project since 2009.

In the heart of the Jardin des Tuileries and the Jardin des Plantes, a selection of monumental sculptures and contemporary art installations, in collaboration with the Louvre Museum and the National Museum of natural History.

At different sites, a programme of performances at the crossroads of music, contemporary dance and theatre; in partnership with the Louvre Museum.
