For the past five years, Art Elysees has brought together over sixty galleries of modern and contemporary art. Housed within two pavilions located on the Champs-Elysées avenue, from the Grand Palais to the Place de laConcorde, Art Elysees promises to transcend the fair’s anticipation and present the highest quality of art during the third weekend in October.

This year, Art Elysees will partner with Design Elysees in order to present all fair visitors with a vast overview of the art from the 20th century, emphasizing modern and contemporary-classical art as a key feature of both fairs.  The association of these two events has thoroughly won the visitors. By integrating Design Elysées within Art Elysées,the organizers present a wider overview of the art from 20th century and emphasize the modern and contemporary classical art as key feature of those fairs. This year the fair will take place from October 18 to 22, 2012.

Also this year, ART ÉLYSÉES has the pleasure to welcome the Maillol Museum as guest of honor for its 5th edition. On this occasion, the Museum will present a preview of their two upcoming exhibitions: Pompéi – will strive to show the modernity of the Roman civilization, the pedestal base and inescapable memory of our occidental culture. The exhibition will be featured at the Maillol Museum from September 21, 2011 to February 12, 2012.

The second exhibition: “Remains of a Day” will introduce the work of Israeli painter, Ra’anan Levy. Sinks, manholes, flooded void spaces… The works of this artist, who is considered along the same lines as the great artists of the early twenty-first century, will be installed as well from Nov 9, 2011 to February 12, 2012.
