Kate Moss (*1974 London) is unquestionably an icon of our times. 1988 the 14-year old
was discovered at Kennedy airport in New York by the founder of Storm Models, Sarah
Doukas. In the same year Moss could sign a contract with Calvin Klein. In the early ’90s
Kate Moss belonged along the other top models Cindy Crawford, Claudia Schiffer, Christy
Turlington, Naomi Campell and Linda Evangelista to the small group of super models.
Kate Moss was on the covers of all relevant fashion magazines and has worked with the
most important photographers of our times. Despite some scandals which only
interrupted her career for short, Kate Moss has become the outstanding icon of today.
The exhibition combines photographs of early shootings with style-stamping shots from
Marrakesch and W Magazine. The list of photographers includes with Michel Haddi,
Pamela Hanson, Marc Hispard, Chris Levine, Dana Lixemberg, Roxanne Lowit, Jurgen
Ostarhild, David Ross Elliott, Satoshi Saikusa and Albert Watson an interesting overview
of photographic positions.
The exhibition is a cooperation with the Italian gallery ONO arte contemporanea from
Bologna.
