I paint in an abstract-figurative way with vivid colors that contrast together strongly. As a Norwegian painter I am specially occupied with the blue light that my country is so famous for. I often use people and animals as symbols to create a mood and and relationship between the characters. Sometimes I have no idea of what to paint and how the motif is going to be when I start working, But when the painting starts to materialize, I get inspiration and thoughts that often expresses themselves in a literary way. As an author I write my own haiku-poems, and often use these poems as titles for the paintings. Colors and words act together and decide what the motif will be in the end.
