These current paintings are investigating new systems for graphic notation. The forms are constructed from many drawings that are composed of closed loops with a limited contour arc. This allows me to place the form in a categorical system analogous with harmonics. The forms are deconstructed then reconstructed and placed in collections of forms that create chords. The marks for each note have a restricted taper and path that creates a wave through space and time. These projects investigate how different media are connected by science, and how this can create new forms of notation and recording.
