Zadik is a prolific Israeli talent. She mentions “realism” when categorizing her art however anyone who has seen her “One of a Kind” series knows she has already gone far beyond realism to be certain. Ilana began painting after a car crash and until then she “never dreamed of becoming a professional painter” in her own words. Maybe this humble stance is what makes her think still she’s a realist. To be sure her flowers pay great gratitude to Mother Nature however give their sur-realism, so to speak, away with their giantness. Ilana Dayan Zadik recently exhibited in “Inside Ed” Group Exhibition in conjunction with the “Outsiders” at Broadway Gallery.
