The figurative attitude has a metaphysical character. In my work, some figures are recognizable, and some are interacting with other figures to create another structural form that exists within itself. Separately the elements are in movement, possessed with their individual destinies. Together, they represent a sort of perpetuum mobile, or the idea of the perfect machine, which creates on its own and expends its own energy, without beginning or end. My work speaks to archetypes and the elements related to our unconsciousness, trying to provoke and bring to the surface archetypal images that we all have hidden within ourselves.
