The greatest possible freedom is the act of creation. Although the experience can be both emotionally and physically exhausting, the expressive qualities of color and light combined with the seductive nature of the medium is very exciting. While for me this process is a very personal one, an artist needs to be aware  of the impact of content, structure and color on the viewer.
