In this rust and charcoal drawing, where an impression is rusted onto the paper, and then worked over with charcoal, come together to create a completely unique image.

Origins, is inspired by the origins of life, where it began and where we came from. How did life originate, and what role does the ethereal dimension play?

On both the physical and conceptual level, the work emphasizes the concept of transformation while hinting at what lies beneath. Pushing the boundary of what is psychologically comfortable, it works on an emotive level that focus’s on the sensations viewers are left with; where they can’t help but think there is something more…..something beyond the immediate, that evokes latent emotional reactions in their own psyche.
