An exotic pop-artist, Gulay Alpay’s art is full of poetry, vibrant colors, and light. Exploring various types of materials, shapes, movement, and color, she expresses both external and internal worlds. Her piece “5D Dreambox,” an interactive work of art, was created for our senses, urging us to travel in space, time, through her imagination, and beyond the barriers of language and culture.

For Gulay Alpay, every artistic act is a creative experience and ritual transformation. She sees applying color to silk or paint to canvas as an act of spiritual rebirth, challenging the boundaries of the art world with her imagination.

Gulay Alpay has worked since 1989, when she graduated in “Fine Arts Department-Painting” at the Mimar Sinan University in Istanbul. She has exhibited in various galleries and museums in Turkey, Germany, the US, England, and Austria.
