The concept that underlies my paintings is related to the border between past and present. The gesture is essential. My approach creates a bridge over the gap between conceptual and gestural painting. If I should define the present, I would rather focus on its nonappearance. The present is the very negation of time, an abstract point where time concentrates its flow.
The material of my painting is a far-away time. I want precisely to grasp this abstract concept and give it a concrete form, to materialize it through colors and gestures. Here you will find your most sensible feelings.
