Fumino Hora was born and educated in Tokyo, Japan. She has lived and worked in Hong Kong and the USA, and obtained her BFA and MFA from RMIT University in Melbourne, Australia. Currently she is studying for a DFA with RMIT University. Her most recent artistic theme is “The Human Condition” through the lens of Japanese aesthetic ideals. She works with multimedia such as glass, metal, paper, photography, video, performance and installation. She has won various prizes from art competitions such as Philippe Charriol Art Competition in 2002. Her works have been collected both nationally and internationally.
