“This Is A Dance Block!”
FAB Festival in the Lower East Side
Locating the Sacred on 4th Street
FABnyc teams up with the Asian American Arts Alliance to celebrate the vibrant Asian community in the LES. As site for their citywide Locating the Sacred Festival, running September 12-23, this year’s FAB! Festival features two hours of special performances by Asian artists, including Soh Daiko’s Japanese Taiko drumming, and hula dancing from the dancers of Pua Ali’i ‘llima o Nuioka.
“FABnyc is excited to partner with the Asian American Arts Alliance to present top notch artists and showcase the vital role the Asian community plays in Lower East Side arts and culture,” said Tamara Greenfield, Executive Director of FABnyc.

Sustainability Takes The Spotlight
At this year’s FAB! Festival, FABnyc aims to reduce waste and ensure 100% of waste is appropriately reused, recycled or disposed of. To reach this goal, FABnyc is partnering with GrowNYC to provide recycling containers with friendly helpers from EcoBiz to answer questions about proper recycling. Non-bottled sources of water will also be FREE to all attendees.
