SOHO20 – CHELSEA
October 28 – November 22, 2014
Reception: Thursday, October 30, 6 -8pm
To understand a line is to appreciate it as a fingerprint of pressure, and a source of balance. In the “migration of the line series,” on view at SOHO20 Chelsea Gallery through November 22, Dutch artist Eleonora Tammes investigates the complexities and subtleties of the linear form. Through her process, time and space becomes a warpage of serpentine-like lineation. This body of work, created primarily with acrylic, paintmarker and graphite on paper, record the physical and emotional forces that compete for boundary and dominance.
