Dieter Borst reduces the seen, the experienced, and the lived to a minimum. All disruptive attachments or decor, which could divert the viewer’s attention from the essential focus, are omitted. Bodies are broken up. Elements, stripped down to their basic forms, are then recompiled so that they can be perceived as an abstracting memory of appearances in nature. Lines are interrupted by dynamic elements and color fields, which procure the harmony of these lines and at the same time infuse them with power.
