Destination Naples:  Figurative Artists On The Rise
    By Paul Gost

Take a stop in to DeBruyne Fine Art to see the exciting new show on view entitled “Destination Naples.”  The exhibit is a tour de force of figurative and landscape painters.  Stephen Shortridge is a master of reflective light in Morning Rush Hour, Naples Pier.  John Terelak’s painting, On Vacation captures four swimmers neck deep in the surrounding cerulean sea. Carol Sadowski’s works are tightly rendered images of seascapes.  Her work is near photographic is its slick appearance.  Her work is a nice compliment to Donny Finley and Marilyn Simandle’s, whose typified home settings are rich in emotive sentiment.  Jeness Cortez’s work is precise, witty and near surreal in Homage to Naples II.  The star of the show is E. J. Paparocki.  His work is reminiscent of 19th century master’s replete with glowing beams of moonlight, in his work Florida Moonrise.
