     2007 College Art Association Winners

    The College Art Association has announced its 2007 award recipients. The awards honor individual artists, art historians, authors, conservators, curators, and critics whose accomplishments "transcend their individual disciplines and contribute to the profession as a whole and to the world at large."     Bansky Donates Painting

    Banksy has donated one of his paintings, a preliminary work for one of his new murals on the West Bank barrier, as a raffle prize to raise money for Bristol Children’s Hospital, the BBC reports.  Dominic Rowswell, 33, is organizing the raffle in order to thank the hospital for treating his 20-month-old son Loris for asthma. "I got in touch with Banksy’s agent," Roswell said, "and he checked out what I’m doing and decided to donate a painting." (Artinfo, December 20, 2007)
