The pink triangle works, acrylic on canvas (36" X 48"), are part of a larger piece of civil disobedience performance art. The entire piece includes the artist not filing Federal income tax with the Internal Revenue Service. The artist is acting out of civil disobedience because the IRS does not recognize same sex couples or domestic partners who love one another, and it does not allow the same Federal tax benefits as married couples automatically receive.
