Today being the first day of Bushwick Open Studios, we hope that you are all out there visiting the galleries and studios of the 600+ shows that are happening this weekend! When the event started in 2006 it was organized on a volunteer basis by some of the fifteen local artists and community organizers that founded Arts in Bushwick, and it has continued to grow into a massive, sprawling gathering from May 29th -June 2nd. We know it won’t be possible to make it to all of the shows, so we’ve gathered a brief list of recommended spots to check out to help you get started.
