Bosmat Niron
Lauren Gunsel

Bosmat Niron’s selection of luscious nature-inspired paintings was exhibited at the Broadway Gallery in New York from October 16-31. "Sensual Experience" is a series of oil paintings coyly depicting female vulva. With its feminine colors of pinks, violets and blues, in addition to the flowing yet steady brush strokes, the exhibit reflects her optimism and her love of life as a woman.
Niron began working consciously with erotic imagery three years ago, and found further inspiration in the Kabala and Kama Sutra. "Female sensuality is everything," she states, "it is existence itself. In the Kabala, one of the expressions designed to describe femininity is ‘everything,’ it is the sea all rivers flow to but the sea doesn’t hold them…" In her series, it is apparent that she strives to let her inner sensuality as a female bring rebirth to the world through her art. Symbolism is expressed in the various works, some more obvious than others. Some paintings resemble flowers, butterflies, a female profile–the mystery is passed onto the viewer, allowing one to dwell within the warmth.
Niron was born in Tel Aviv–but has lived in South America and Spain–and studied art in Israel throughout her youth. She later studied painting and sculpture at Ascola Academy and the Tel Aviv Museum. Since 2002, her large sculptures are displayed publicly in Israel in conjunction with Israel’s Electric Company. She is able to generate beauty out of waste, in turn allowing rubble and trash to become an artistic masterpiece for the community to enjoy.
Bosmat Niron’s interest in feminine sexuality returns our focus to the elemental, the essential, the natural. "I wish to awaken the passion…the missing enlightenment, courtesies, seduction and lust."
