On Saturday night, April 30, the Morgan Fine Arts Building in Greenpoint, Brooklyn hosts its eighth multi-media Open House. From installation artists to jewelry artisans, forty-one individual art and craft studios will be open to the public.
The Morgan’s five-story complex houses studios for over 90 artists and craftspeople, including several major award winners whose works hang in the MOMA, Guggenheim, Whitney, and Philadelphia museums.
The Morgan’s biennial Open House has become increasingly popular, according to Director Peter Buchman, “because it gives everybody an opportunity to see the works of serious artists in the studios where they are created.”
As at former Open Houses, the event will include an open bar with complimentary wine, beer, and bottled water. A free limousine service is available to pick up and return attendees from the Bedford Avenue stop of the “L” train and the Nassau Avenue Stop of the “G” train. Guests may request transport by calling (646) 302-5775.
