Asuka was born in Los Angeles, raised in Japan, educated in Boston, and currently lives and works in Brooklyn, NY. She received BFA degree in printmaking from California State University, Long Beach, and MFA degree from the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston/Tufts University. Asuka loves many things, including bunnies, garden gnomes, unicorn, books, bicycles, knee-high striped socks, acrobats, Masterpiece Theater, Pee-Wee Herman, Gumby, and Bettie Page.
