Anna Thurber was born in Boston in 1961. Anna studied Fine Arts, graduating in 1983. Already in high school and throughout her college years, she did design work, as well as her own painting. She had a long-term association doing design work for Brunswig and fls., and in 1983 worked with the American Institute of Textile Arts. She became known for her painted glass and Plexiglas blocks, which she registered as a product and sold and exhibited widely. Among other places, Anne Thurber’s creations have been sold in "Henri Bendels" and "Felissimo" in New York, and the Children’s Museum of Art in Portland, Maine.
