I was born in Switzerland and have lived in Italy since 1984. In 1999 I started to show my paintings in exhibitions held in Italian cities such as Turin, Rome, Florence, Milan, Venice, and several others.
According to art critics my works have a strong evocative power, sometimes recalling detached frescos, maybe due to my technique: painting on top of a layer of ash and gypsum on raw jute.
I am deeply inspired by my dreams and fascinated by the contradiction and absurdness of the daily universe, of sadness and irony, of tragedy and charm—all shrouded in silence.
