Originally from Moscow, Russia, I live in Shreveport, Louisiana. I was born in 1963 and have been painting professionally since 1989. I am a graduate of Moscow High Art and Industrial Institute (formerly Stroganovskoe) where I was a restorer of decorative art (Russian icons and frescos). For a number of years I worked as a restorer for the Russian State museums. My specialty was 17th century icons. The technique and style of the icons impressed me and influenced my figurative paintings and landscapes. I began my exhibition activity in 1989 in Moscow. Among the most prestigious shows that I have participated were the annual exhibitions of the Russian Art Union and the annual "Gold Brush" exhibition in Moscow.
Since 1996 I have been living in the U.S. My paintings were presented at group shows in Kent, CT, Brooklyn, NY, and I have had two solo shows in Shreveport.
