Each of Shelton’s paintings project their own obscure realities.  Place and pictorial composition silently evoke grandiose visual metaphors for humanity.  A subtle dichotomy of emptiness and fullness coalesces with darkness and light; alluding to themes of solitude and existence.  He venerates with seamless unity, the indirect references to human existence abound within the synthetic environments of our natural world.  Shelton presents reality to be revisited, or re-examined by the audience.
