I paint merging a de ja vu feeling of unlived memories and the freshness revealed by the treatment of the oil, colors and canvas surface. My paintings are about human feelings; most of them are acceptable only by a female surface. Collecting images from many sources (books, internet, family albums) I provoke a strange sensation of knowing something unseen and at the same time, so known and deep, as flashbacks of childhood.
My painting process includes the preparing of the canvas surface, as also the choice of its shape and size. Besides this I am always collecting images, scenes and words, phrases ( for the paintings titles), this continuous and obsessive practice culminates into the painting itself, that always has an unique character. It also highlights my mood, which is visible in my traces left on the surface from materials. Once you have seen one of my reproductions, you will always be able to recognize my painting, even if it is a completely new approach or recurrent motif.
