Pierre-Louis Acciari

Pierre-Louis Acciari’s unofficial self-portrait Just a Man, is a powerful unveiling. "My fear of death is an obsession, I must explore this to the end … it is who I am." With commanding brushstrokes he attacks the canvas releasing the tension between the menacing starkness of his fear and the gentle sincerity that is Acciari. When the viewer realizes that he is both the victim and personification of fear, the work become both intimidating and charming.  Acciari pursues a successful career as a graphic-designer in addition to painting, while living in the Lyon region of France.
