The  Tenement Museum promotes tolerance and historical perspective through the presentation and interpretation of the variety of immigrant and migrant experiences on Manhattans Lower East Side, a gateway to America. Built on Manhattan’s Lower East Side in 1863, this tenement apartment building was home to nearly 7000 working class immigrants. Artamo Gallery is located in downtown’s historic arts district of Santa Barbara just half a block from the Museum of Art — features contemporary art by national and international artists. Works include paintings, sculpture, works on paper and mixed media.
