I believe in painting. Painting without adjectives. When painting is best it doesn’t work on rationality. Painting, for me, is difficult to rationalize. Putting paint on canvas is an intuitive process and I don’t think someone has to justify his own work. I could talk about books I read, music I listen to, people I know; everything comes together in painting. But works must have their own voice, should acquire their own life. I don’t try to develop a concept, I simply leave things to flow through my arm to canvas. That’s all.
