Andy Blanchard lives in Atlanta, where he continually creates his "dot-scape" paintings. His application of dots is time intensive and done without brushes. Originally from Syracuse, New York, Andy moved to the Washington, DC, area, earned Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in English Literature, and moved to Atlanta. His web site visually documents his artistic development over the last nine years and also shows his current, available artwork. His artwork has found its way into homes across the U.S. He began doing filmmaking in 2000 with his character Dot Matrix, which led to producing the one-hour film, I am Dot Matrix, in 2002.
