Robin Wassong

My
artwork is playful, focused, abstract geometric. Simple shapes interact
in structured space. Through simplicity of shapes I explore color,
pattern, texture and composition. The work is done in a contemplative
manner with self-imposed boundaries. The structure acts as a game board
or stage, creating a space for the shapes to play. The circle or ring
creates movement and suggests an animated quality. A finished piece
conveys a sense of aliveness, becoming its own character.
